Sunderland v Swansea Premier League Preview

sunderland v swansea preview

The Black Cats will be looking to build on their two previous Premier League wins as Martin O’Neill attempts to push Sunderland into a Top Ten position.

Sunderland were gameless last week after they failed to reach the FA Cup 4th round. However, the break wasn’t good news for Lee Cattermole who injured himself in training. Also missing ahead of tonight’s game against Swansea will be Danny Rose and Carlos Cuellar (both hamstring injuries).

Steven Fletcher can be backed at 5/1 with Coral to get the first goal of the game. The Scot grabbed a crucial double in their last game – a 3-2 away win to Wigan.

Sunderland are 31/20 from Betvictor to beat their Welsh visitors tonight.

Swansea have certainly tightened up at the back recently, The Swans have only conceded twice in their last five games and also booked their place in the League Cup Final in February.

Michael Laudrup must be pleased that Michu and Wayne Routledge have extended their contracts with the club although there still remains a black cloud over Danny Graham’s future – with tonight’s opponents, Sunderland, keeping a very close eye on developments.

In form striker Michu is 13/2 with Willaim Hill to open the scoring tonight.

Swansea have never beaten Sunderland in the Premier League which probably explains the 21/10 price from Boylesports to come away from the Stadium of Light with all three points.

The draw is 12/5 from Bet 365.
